About
Peter grew up in Edmonton, Alberta along the North Saskatchewan River. He holds a BA in Intercultural Studies from Vanguard College and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Taylor Seminary. He is currently a Doctor of Practical Theology student at McMaster Divinity College focusing on the intersection of faith and sexuality.
Peter has been deeply involved in Children’s Ministry since he was 15. He is passionate to see kids and their parents transformed by the Gospel message. Peter has traveled around the globe leading and teaching children’s camps and he was also an intern in Bosnia-Hercegovina.
Peter also has experience being adjunct faculty in the mission department at his former Bible College, as well as being a Children’s Pastor in two different congregations. He has also journeyed through the reality of being gay and feeling called to ministry. As a gay Christian, Peter has the unique ability to speak to the Church about issues regarding sexuality and LGBT+ inclusion in the Church. As a Queer Theologian, he seeks to engage theology from a Queer perspective allowing it to flow into the praxis of the Church.
